Ella,

At two months old you are every definition of the word precious. You smile and coo at us more and more each day and you have the sunniest disposition. You love your daddy and your mama and anyone willing to snuggle. You are starting to show signs of playfulness. You haven't quite discovered that you can use your hands, but you sure like to move your feet—you tease me with your toes while you're nursing and you love pushing against the bars of your crib. Maybe you'll be a soccer player. :) You love it when we sing to you, and you love dancing to records and watching basketball with daddy. You love attention but are also happy being left alone in your crib, staring up at the ceiling. Sometimes we forget about you in there because you are so content and you will eventually put yourself to sleep. You are happy in the car, the stroller, and the carrier (as long as we are moving) and nine times out of ten you will fall asleep. At night you sleep between your dad and me in your snuggle me, waking twice to eat, and you go right back to sleep. You are very patient with me when I take photos of you, and for that I am grateful.

It is my greatest joy being your mama.
